The first section discusses possible subtypes of autism and how they relate to sensory processing and cognitive sensory and concreteness-of-thinking continuum of autism subtypes. In the second section, I describe my visual methods of thinking, and in the third section I discuss the implications of visual thinking on educational methods, abstract thought, and cognition. In the fourth section, my experiences with empathy and emotion are described. In the last section, I describe where I fall on the continuum of autism and how autism subtypes may affect the efficacy of educational and therapeutic methods.
